A short Synopsis
When a disgruntled hitman (with an inexplicable talent in surviving head wounds), a loquacious mobster (and occasional Santa Claus impersonator), and an archetypical contract killer (played by the director) find themselves entangled in each other's revenge scheme, linear narrative will only be the first of many casualties left behind.
Amidst lethal cooking lessons, random film references, profound dialectical confrontations and unnecessary shootouts this noir/thriller/splatter/gangster film introduces you to a world where death is temporary, guns are forever and continuity is, well, overrated. A low-budget, high-concept, semi-automatic world that will shatter your belief in friendship, love, loyalty, gratitude and every other positive value you hold, except Christmas. Most of all, the ''Butcher'' will end up teaching you the inescapable truth that, in these trouble times, the importance of knowing how to slice meat cannot be stressed enough. |
